Texas A&M Center Danielle Adams had 30 points, 9 rebounds, 1 steal and a block as the Texas A&M Lady Aggies knocked off the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to win their first national championship. The Aggies, who got to the title game by upsetting Stanford and Baylor along the way simply overpowered the Irish, who had bumped off defending champion UConn and Tennessee. Adams was named the game’s Most Outstanding Player, and her 30 points were the second most ever scored in a women’s national championship game.
